In recognition of the feat achieved by Jhalobia gardens, the Lagos State horticultural society in 1986 invited Jhalobia as a guest participant to their second annual exhibition.
In Lagos, Jhalobia garden became a benchmark for other commercial gardeners to reorganize their gardens in imitation of aesthetic effect of formal arrangements of plants for sale and landscape artistry in commercial gardens.

Ifuemi is a founding director of Jhalobia and head of operations. In that capacity she has travelled to various parts of Nigeria, Africa and England, procuring rare plants, recruiting new staff and working in a variety of challenging material and social environments. These challenging terrains and projects range from the aquatic region of Nndoni in Nigeria’s Rivers State, where she built a gazebo holiday resort on water, to sophisticated landscape designs in the Abuja metropolis. This trans-geographical and cross-cultural exposure has meant that she has become multilingual in English, French, Yoruba and her native Okpameri.
Ifuemi is exceptionally talented. Her artistic and adventurous sensibilities give rise to some of our breath taking designs and a good collection of some of our rare plant species. She also excels in decorating interior and exterior spaces as well as venues for events. Her designs are unique and breathtaking.
Ifuemi introduced exotic designer thatch roofs to Nigeria as a garden feature. Her gazebo designs enjoy a wide patronage because of their beauty, uniqueness and finesse.

Ameto H. Nenger studied creative art at the University of Benin, Benin City and specialized in marketing. She went into sales, marketing and management right at her Youth Service in Lagos. She worked briefly for two private companies and moved on to the management of Jhalobia Nigeria Limited which incidentally had just relocated from Benin City to Lagos.
The high ideals of the missionary schools and colleges she attended; Sacred Heart Catholic Private Primary School Ibadan, St Theresa’s College, Ibadan and Maria Goretti, Benin City along side with strict home education set her for excellence in her University degree course and employment situations.
She has a very good eye for details and tidy finishing which makes her able manager and leader of Jhalobia teams in landscaping and decorating exploits. Her ability to transform a home either by a total garden make over or transformation of a drab surrounding for an awesomely beautiful event ground can be summed up in the experience of a bride’s father who asked on seeing the transformed venue, “Ameto, is this really real or is it an optical illusion?”
Another bride and the mother were not only ecstatic at the “magically” transformed ordinary rustic space to a venue which hosted both local and international dignitaries but were amazed at her level of creativity.
Ameto works as a florist, light person, draper, stage designer, special effect person and a landscape artist. She has a long list of highly impressed clientele to show for her years of service.
She has an incredible amount of energy that does not get expended until the last bow is perfectly tied, the last ribbon tidied up, the cascade of flower arrangement in place, the hedges in a garden perfectly trimmed and the lawns neatly mowed and edged.
Her vision is to make Jhalobia a leading brand name for decorations and landscaping in the next one year.
